Associate Dean – Faculty of Digital Innovation, Arts & Sciences

About the role

The Associate Dean provides senior academic and administrative leadership for the Faculty of Digital Innovation, Arts & Sciences. Reporting directly to the Dean, the role oversees instructional programs, special projects, and drives innovation across the School of Computing and Digital Innovation and the School of Creative Media, Arts and Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate program development, review, and quality assurance with program heads, faculty, and staff.
• Develop external relations for articulation, laddering, and advisory committee engagement.
• Implement strategic initiatives, operational forecasts, and capital plans to meet faculty goals.
• Monitor fiscal resources, recommend efficiencies, and oversee budgeting processes.
• Provide mentorship, hiring, and performance management for Academic Chairs, faculty, and staff on special projects.
• Act as Dean in the Dean’s absence and represent the faculty on provincial and national committees.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (e.g., PhD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Significant experience in higher‑education administration or academic leadership.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel between campuses and represent the institution regionally and nationally.
