Associate, Corporate Innovation – Grant Program Coordinator

About the role

The Associate, Corporate Innovation will support MaRS Discovery District’s grant programs that fund cleantech deployment projects in the food and agriculture sector. This 1‑year contract position helps manage the competition phase, post‑award monitoring, and reporting for corporate adopter cohorts.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and select project proposals in a competition‑style format.
• Communicate funding decisions, award amounts, disbursement schedules, and terms.
• Manage contracts and financial disbursements for grant tranches.
• Verify compliance with stage‑based progress and reporting requirements.
• Prepare program progress, performance, and financial reports for sponsors and internal tracking.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Innovation team to align timelines and deliverables.
• Support governance processes, including assessment criteria and reporting requirements.
• Maintain relationships with grant recipients, attend meetings, develop presentation decks, and conduct surveys as needed.

Required profile

• Experience administering grant or project finance programs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Attention to detail in contract and financial management.
