Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Glaucoma, Ophthalmology

About the role

The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at McGill University seeks a full‑time clinical faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment is a three‑year renewable contract based at the Jewish General Hospital, focusing on glaucoma and complex anterior segment disease.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical, laser, and surgical management of primary and secondary glaucomas, including advanced and refractory cases.
• Perform minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), filtering procedures, glaucoma drainage device implantation, and laser‑based therapies.
• Interpret and integrate advanced glaucoma diagnostics and imaging into patient care.
• Contribute to the growth of a high‑volume tertiary/quaternary glaucoma service.
• Participate in undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship teaching, as well as clinical and translational research.
