Assistant Team Leader (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Team Leader supports the store management team in daily retail operations, ensuring a smooth, customer‑focused environment. This role combines hands‑on tasks such as stocking and shipment handling with supervisory duties like cash management and staff coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist managers in overseeing store operations and staff scheduling.
• Receive, unpack, and organize daily shipments.
• Stock shelves, maintain product displays, and climb ladders safely to reach all store areas.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and visual standards.
• Handle cash management, opening and closing procedures, and daily break tracking.
• Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and other manager‑on‑duty tasks.

Required profile

• Approximately one (1) year of retail experience.
• At least one (1) year in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Flexible availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Customer‑service orientation.
