Assistant Store Manager – Moncton

About the role

Join Urban Barn’s new Moncton store as an Assistant Store Manager. You’ll work alongside the Store Manager to build a high‑performing team, create an inviting shopping environment and drive sales for our premium furniture and home décor collection.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers in selecting décor and furniture that fits their style and needs.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Coach, train and motivate team members to deliver outstanding service.
• Communicate expectations, provide feedback and conduct performance coaching.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory control and loss‑prevention initiatives.
• Maintain visual standards, store cleanliness and overall presentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of retail sales management experience.
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
• Passion for interior design, furniture and home décor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb (23 kg).

Required skills

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Effective coaching and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent communication in English; French is a plus.
