Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring excellent customer service and helping the store meet its sales targets. This role also acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and staff supervision.
• Handle merchandising, stocking, and unpacking of daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Perform cash management, opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks, maintain store safety, cleanliness, and visual standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Participate in hiring and performance management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
