Assistant Store Manager Alberni Street

About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. In this role you’ll empower your team to deliver unforgettable “magical moments” for our customers while handling a dynamic, fast‑paced retail setting.

Key responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving.
• Recruit, train and develop associates, serving as a mentor and role model to ensure a positive experience for staff and customers.
• Implement action plans for projects, targets and company initiatives, and provide input on succession planning.
• Coordinate loss‑prevention programs, improve store layout and efficiency, and focus on minimizing shrink and damages.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and empower a large team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to give effective feedback and mentorship.
• Knowledge of store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
