Assistant Manager - Retail

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our retail service centre. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, manage staff and ensure excellent customer service in our Edmonton location.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily store operations, including merchandise selection and service offerings.
• Manage a team of 5‑10 staff members, assign duties, and supervise office and volunteer personnel.
• Determine staffing needs, oversee payroll administration and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop and monitor budgets, track revenues and expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints and supply shortages promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail or customer‑facing environments.
• Demonstrated efficiency, strong work ethic, organisational abilities and a team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with retail point‑of‑sale systems and payroll software.
