Young's Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead its food store in Winnipeg. The role combines staff supervision, customer service, and strategic planning to drive sales and ensure a smooth, fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage store staff, assign duties and schedule shifts.
• Analyse market research and trends to forecast consumer demand and set sales targets.
• Determine product assortment, pricing, and credit policies.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract customers.
• Plan budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and report financial performance.
• Assess staffing needs and recruit or train team members as required.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee daily operations of the sales department, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 3‑5 years of experience in retail or food‑service management.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑player with a client‑focused mindset.
