Assistant Health Care Manager

About the role

Step into a leadership position supporting safe, high-quality care within a complex correctional health setting. As an Assistant Health Care Manager you will work closely with the Health Care Manager to oversee clinic operations, primary care and psychiatry services, and the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical operations, including scheduling of primary care and psychiatry clinics.
• Support nursing and non-regulated staff, troubleshoot operational barriers, and ensure timely delivery of care.
• Manage staffing processes such as scheduling, invoicing, attendance, and performance management.
• Oversee ordering of medical supplies and medications.
• Advance the electronic medical record system and liaise with Infection Prevention and Control partners.
• Collaborate with staff sergeants, operational managers, and institutional stakeholders to align health-care and operational priorities.
• Promote quality, safety, and compliance across all services.
