Architectural Construction Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Architectural Construction Manager to lead the delivery of architectural and finishes works for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) in Toronto. The role will ensure that stations and related structures are built to the highest quality, safety and schedule standards while aligning with design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction of architectural finishes including cladding, glazing, roofing, flooring, ceilings, partitions and station fit‑out.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP and systems works for seamless integration.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity and safety compliance.
• Oversee inspections, quality checks and mock‑ups to verify materials and workmanship.
• Review and resolve technical issues in collaboration with design and construction engineers.
• Track progress against schedule and provide accurate reporting to planning teams.
• Manage change orders, RFIs and technical submittals related to architectural works.
• Support risk management by identifying and mitigating construction issues.
• Assist in budgeting, cost estimating and scope definition; prepare or review RFPs, tenders and evaluate contractor proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing architectural construction activities on large infrastructure or transit projects.
• Strong knowledge of design‑build delivery models and architectural finish systems.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with structural, MEP and systems disciplines.
• Demonstrated competence in safety leadership, quality control and risk mitigation.
