Architect – Full-time, On-site (Winnipeg)

About the role

Amphora Architecture Inc. is seeking a full-time, on-site Architect to join its Winnipeg studio. The successful candidate will lead projects from concept through construction, delivering high-quality, functional designs for educational, commercial and multifamily clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project concepts, schematic designs, design development and detailed construction documents.
• Coordinate architectural solutions with interior designers, consultants and contractors.
• Manage project schedules, milestones and client meetings.
• Conduct code analysis, accessibility reviews and quality-control checks.
• Respond to technical inquiries during construction and support continuous improvement of studio standards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in an architecture firm on Canadian or U.S. projects.
• Current registration as an Architect in Manitoba or eligibility for immediate registration.
• Strong project-management abilities, including scope definition and coordination with consultants.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Residency in the Winnipeg area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards.
• Understanding of sustainable design principles.
