Android Developer – Remote Contract (6 months)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer to join our client’s fully remote team on a 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position. You will help build and scale a high‑traffic Android application used by millions of customers, delivering innovative mobile experiences that drive engagement and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK.
• Build recommendation‑driven features such as dynamic home feeds, search, discovery, ordering, checkout, and real‑time order tracking.
• Integrate GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend services written in Ruby and Go.
• Utilize Sentry and Datadog for monitoring, analytics, and observability.
• Ensure stability and performance across a wide range of Android devices and network conditions.
• Debug end‑to‑end features while maintaining clean, modular, and scalable code.
• Participate in Git‑based development, CI/CD pipelines, and cross‑functional collaboration with product managers and designers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in startup or small‑to‑mid‑size tech settings.
