Analytics Engineer (Canada)

About the role

Cuesta Partners is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join its data practice in Canada. The role involves delivering end‑to‑end data solutions for a variety of clients, shaping green‑field data environments and enabling analytical insights across business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and delivery following best practices and data models.
• Collaborate with business consultants and product managers to create strategic solutions for client stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend new tools to meet strategic goals.
• Provide rapid triage of system issues, support critical releases and act as the technical expert for data‑related roadblocks.
• Establish clear communication channels with delivery teams and build cross‑functional relationships across the organization.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering.
• Strong SQL development and querying skills.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders such as finance or operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Background building CI/CD workflows and supporting BI visualization tools.
• Located in Vancouver or Toronto.

What we offer

• Salary range $75,000–$135,000 CAD per year.
• Annual bonus of 15‑25 % of base salary.
