About the role

The General Accounting Analyst will manage revenue accounting for leases, events, sponsorships and ticketing subsystems for the Société du Vieux-Port de Montréal and its affiliated foundation. The role includes handling deposits, cash receipts, and maintaining accounts receivable auxiliaries while supporting month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Invoice clients and record lease and sponsorship revenues in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure accurate recognition of all revenue streams for SVPM and the Fondation du Centre des sciences de Montréal.
• Improve revenue accounting procedures for the ticketing subsystem and apply controls to guarantee completeness.
• Process cash receipts in JDE and related subsystems, prepare deposits, and perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly regularisation entries and balance‑sheet analyses assigned to the role.
• Participate in month‑end closing, suggest efficiency improvements, and provide coverage for team members as needed.
• Provide courteous internal customer service, respond promptly to requests, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of accounting experience, including revenue, accounts receivable and cash receipt processing.
• College diploma in accounting.
• Intermediate knowledge of English (level 3).
• Familiarity with IFRS standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) – considered an asset.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
