Ambulatory Nurse – Full‑time, Daytime Shift

About the role

The Ambulatory Nurse provides direct patient care in the Child Health Pavilion, supporting pediatric patients and families during outpatient visits. This full‑time position works weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and focuses on delivering safe, compassionate care while promoting health education.

Key responsibilities

• Perform treatments and administer medications following established protocols.
• Assist with procedures that do not require anesthesia, maintaining strict aseptic technique.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff, supporting orientation and ongoing learning.
• Involve families in care planning and decision‑making to improve health outcomes.
• Delegate and evaluate tasks performed by assistive personnel according to hospital nursing plans.
• Advocate for individualized patient needs and respect patients' rights to make medical decisions.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio.
• Commitment to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years of hire.
