Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Rotorcraft

About the role

Heli Source Limited is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to work on rotorcraft at Whitecourt Airport. The role involves maintaining, repairing and inspecting medium and small turbine helicopters in a fast‑paced, all‑weather environment.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust and repair rotorcraft systems according to specifications, technical drawings and manuals.
• Inspect maintenance work performed by aircraft mechanics and ensure compliance with Transport Canada and company standards.
• Repair, overhaul and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical and structural systems of medium and small turbine helicopters.
• Dismantle and re‑assemble airframes, engines and related components for repair or cleaning.
• Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and generate required reports.
• Order parts, manage inventory and ensure availability of supplies.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• AME “M” licence – Aircraft.
• 2‑3 years of experience with medium and small turbine helicopters.
• Bondable security clearance and valid driver’s licence with own transportation.
• Physically able to handle heavy loads, stand for long periods and work in noisy, all‑weather conditions.

Required skills

• Interpretation of blueprints, specifications and technical drawings.
• Troubleshooting of aircraft hydraulic, mechanical and structural systems.
• Repair, overhaul and installation of engines, flight‑control, fuel and pneumatic systems.
• Inventory management and parts ordering.
