AI Knowledge & Governance Lead

About the role

Zafin is building an AI Operating System for regulated financial institutions. The AI Knowledge & Governance Lead will shape the knowledge, governance, trust and compliance capabilities that ensure AI solutions are safe, transparent and meet regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise evaluation, risk, compliance and responsible AI standards for all functional delivery units before production deployment.
• Own the audit, monitoring and governance framework that governs AI behaviour, safety, explainability and regulatory compliance across the platform.
• Partner with client risk, compliance, legal and audit teams to validate that the platform meets banking regulatory requirements such as Model Risk Management.
• Lead the integration of knowledge and governance controls into delivery squads, embedding evaluation and governance from design through production.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of progressive experience in AI governance, knowledge management, data governance, risk and compliance, with leadership responsibility across multiple teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Library/Information Science, Business or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of how knowledge quality, taxonomy and lifecycle management influence AI performance, explainability and trustworthiness.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to communicate technical AI risk concepts to both technical and executive audiences.

Required skills

• Enterprise knowledge platforms and AI knowledge repositories.
• AI risk frameworks and model governance practices (e.g., Basel III, Model Risk Management guidance).
• Evaluation methodologies, monitoring systems and auditability controls for AI/ML production systems.
