AI Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Cerebras is seeking an AI Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to translate high‑level cluster architectures into precise, deployment‑ready designs. You will own the step between system design and real‑world data‑center implementation, handling rack layouts, equipment placement, power budgeting, and cable mapping.

Key responsibilities

• Produce rack elevations, equipment layouts, bills of materials, power allocations, port maps, and cable maps.
• Adapt reference designs to site‑specific constraints such as space, power, cooling, networking, logistics and hardware availability.
• Validate that compute, storage, networking, power and cabling designs work together as an integrated system.
• Partner with systems, network, hardware, manufacturing, supply‑chain and data‑center operations teams throughout design and deployment.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate design generation, BOM creation, cable mapping and consistency checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one year of experience in infrastructure engineering, data‑center design, systems integration or hardware deployment.
• Practical understanding of server, storage and networking hardware and their physical integration.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to turn incomplete requirements into clear designs.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
