Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Brandon, Manitoba for a 4‑6 month summer contract (2027). The role offers an hourly wage of $25‑$32 with overtime paid for evenings or weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field trials with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology and agronomic practices, aiming to develop regional, hybrid‑specific agronomic recommendations.
• Assist with all phases of field trial activities from seeding to harvest, including land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as needed.
• Travel regularly within the region for field scouting and crop‑health diagnosis, performing daily monitoring, data collection and analysis of research plots.

Required profile

• Strong agronomic competence gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related field and experience in the agriculture industry.
• Familiarity with agricultural equipment (asset).
• Ability to deliver results toward individual and team goals.
• Previous experience in agricultural field research (asset).
• Attention to detail and proven problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to modify plans as situations arise, minimizing impact on results.
• Valid driver’s licence.
