About the role
Associated Ambulance is seeking a Temporary Full‑Time Advanced Care Paramedic for its Westlock station. The position follows a 12‑hour shift pattern of two consecutive day shifts, two night shifts, then four days off, and is expected to run for three months with possible extension. Successful candidates must be able to meet this schedule and any existing commitments must be disclosed. Orientation sessions are scheduled for October 5‑9 2026 and December 7‑11 2026. The role is governed by the collective agreement and includes a three‑month probationary period. Required profile
- Valid Advanced Care Paramedic practice permit meeting Alberta EMS requirements.
- Current Alberta Class 4 driver’s licence.
- All mandatory training up to date, including MCP and PDIC.
- Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (FARE) or active participation in its process.
- Ability to satisfy the scheduling and operational demands of the 12‑hour shift pattern.
