Advanced Care Paramedic – Full-Time – Core Flex – Incentive

About the role

Associated Ambulance is seeking a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic to join the Mayerthorpe station on a permanent full‑time basis. The role follows a core‑flex schedule of four days on, four days off, providing pre‑hospital emergency care to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions to determine injury or illness severity and immediate care needs.
• Administer pre‑hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for ambulance transport.
• Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
• Collaborate with emergency medical personnel, communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Valid Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) practice permit for Alberta.
• Alberta Class IV driver’s licence, current and valid.
• Successful completion of F.A.R.E certification.
• Current mandatory training, including Medical Communications Protocol and Professional Driver Improvement Course.
