About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and financial support across the Department of Radiology and the UBC MRI Research Centre. This hybrid position splits time between academic administration (60%) and the MRI Research Centre (40%), offering a dynamic work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel for senior leaders.
- Process invoices, track budgets, and prepare financial reports.
- Support conference planning and program operations, including logistics and communications.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases for the department and research centre.
- Liaise with faculty, staff, external partners, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, and reports as required.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary education in administration, business, or a related field.
- Experience in an academic, research, or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
