Addictions Counsellor

About the role

The Eastern Ontario Men's Centre, part of Teen Challenge Canada, is looking for a full-time Addictions Counsellor with a CCACF or equivalent counselling designation. The role covers the equivalent of one full-time counsellor, either one person supporting one centre about half the time in person and half remotely, or two people each supporting one centre at fifty percent in person. It is a hybrid position, and the pay rate is agreed based on experience, expertise and applicable education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one therapeutic rehabilitative counselling sessions for clients
• Write and implement treatment plans for clients
• Deliver group sessions, relapse prevention and exit strategy planning
• Integrate faith-based guidance with therapeutic practice, applying biblical principles to encourage clients' character growth

Required profile

• CCACF or equivalent counselling designation
• Strong understanding of Christian principles
