Kate Spade New York is seeking an enthusiastic Acting Assistant Store Leader I to support daily store operations in Ottawa. This on‑site role blends customer‑focused service with team leadership, ensuring the store delivers the brand’s vibrant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Leader in managing floor activities, visual standards, and inventory control.
• Drive sales by delivering personalized service and promoting product knowledge.
• Supervise and coach sales associates, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and daily financial reconciliation.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including lifting and moving merchandise up to 50 lb.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with a passion for fashion and the Kate Spade brand.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lb regularly and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Demonstrated courage, creativity, and drive for results in a fast‑paced retail setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic inventory management and stockroom organization.
