Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk

About the role

The Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk supports the finance team by handling a wide range of accounting and administrative tasks for a portfolio of properties. The role ensures timely processing of rent payments, vendor invoices, and accurate bank reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for 20+ trust and operating accounts and post auto‑withdrawn invoices in Entrata.
• Process rent rolls, post cheques, direct deposits, and PAD payments; reconcile tenant ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter and approve vendor invoices, manage utility billing, and print cheques for accounts payable.
• Prepare journal entries for recurring financial transactions such as parking revenue, mortgage payments, and property tax installments.
• Maintain property tax and utility accounts, verify payment status, and ensure proper recording of auto‑withdrawn expenses.
• Support vendor setup, respond to inquiries, and assist with GL code reviews.

Required profile

• Experience performing accounts payable and receivable functions in a property‑management environment.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and rent‑payment processing.
• Ability to manage vendor invoices, utility accounts, and property‑tax documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines.
