About the role
The preschool and full‑daycare centre seeks an Accounting Technician to manage its financial operations. You will work independently in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring accurate payroll, asset tracking, and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare payroll cheques and related tax returns.
- Maintain general ledgers, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare trial balances, financial statements, and various accounting reports.
- Manage fixed‑asset registers, calculate depreciation, and handle statistical reporting.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Simply Accounting).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Word.
