Accountant – Wealth Operations (Hybrid)

About the role

This back‑office position supports the Wealth Operations team in Toronto. The accountant processes high‑volume financial transactions, including money movements and security transfers, in a compliance‑driven environment. The role is hybrid (four days on‑site after an initial 90‑day period) and reports to the Operations function.

Key responsibilities

• Process money movements and security transfers between client accounts.
• Handle transactions involving stocks, mutual funds and other securities.
• Review documentation for accuracy before executing transfers.
• Run pre‑built Excel macros daily and manage related spreadsheets.
• Communicate with internal advisors and external institutions to resolve transaction issues.
• Meet service‑level agreements with typical 1‑2 day turnaround.
• Maintain high accuracy in a high‑risk, compliance‑heavy environment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of banking or wealth‑operations experience (2–4 years preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Comfortable working with multiple internal systems and in a regulated setting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of financial securities such as stocks and mutual funds.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of existing macros.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of C$28–C$34.
