Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

We are a growing travel services organization seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper to support our finance operations. The role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth day‑to‑day accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping, including transaction recording, account classification, and documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and prepare trial balances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial summaries for internal decision‑making.
• Assist with invoicing, payment collection, and financial tracking.
• Coordinate payroll‑related activities and basic HR administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams on travel‑industry transactions such as commissions, ticketing, and payment compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Prior exposure to the travel industry is strongly preferred.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is an asset but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or TRAMS.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office tools.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
