Accountant – SaaS/Tech (St. John's)

About the role

Vish is seeking an Accountant to join its finance team in St. John's. You will own the full accounting cycle in a fast‑paced SaaS environment, supporting day‑to‑day transactions, month‑end close, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable workflows, including invoice entry, approvals and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Support timely month‑end close: revenue reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules.
• Prepare financial statements and internal reporting summaries.
• Handle intercompany transactions, consolidations and multi‑entity accounting.
• Assist with payroll processing, benefits calculations and deductions.
• File sales tax returns (Canada‑focused) and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• BComm in Accounting or Accounting Diploma.
• 2–5 years of experience, preferably in SaaS, tech or growth‑stage companies.
• CPA in progress or completed.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE, IFRS or GAAP.
• Understanding of Canadian payroll and sales tax.
