Accountant II – Hybrid, Toronto

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant II to support a leading North‑American financial institution. This is a two‑month contract position with the possibility of extension, based in Toronto and offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on validating transfer forms and processing asset movements in a high‑risk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate transfer forms, including complex and estate‑related transactions.
• Process asset movements while ensuring compliance with high‑risk standards.
• Conduct detailed reviews of documentation to support timely and accurate transfers.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in finance or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in accounting, documentation review, or related financial functions.
• Experience with compliance, KYC, and legal document review.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Required skills

• Excel (including macros and data validation).
• MS Office suite.
• Confluence.
• SharePoint.
