About the role

Dexterra is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Mississauga. The role involves managing core financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting payroll and tax preparation for the organization.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and maintain balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial statements.
Analyze client financial records, audit findings, and tax returns to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Maintain and reconcile various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Oversee payroll administration and generate related financial reports.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
3 to less than 5 years of professional accounting experience.

Required skills

Proficiency with MS Great Plains (GP) and Sage Accounting Software.
Experience using QuickBooks, Xero, Simply Accounting, Caseware/Caseview.
Strong command of MS Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows.
Familiarity with database software and TaxPrep applications.
