Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Inpho is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its fast‑growing finance team. You will own the full Accounts Payable cycle, support month‑end close activities, and contribute to finance projects in a dynamic startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the complete Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Record AP, bank, and credit‑card transactions.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly HST remittances.
• Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support year‑end audit requests and tax filing documentation.
• Participate in ad‑hoc finance projects such as ERP implementation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain organized and accurate financial records.

Required profile

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in high‑volume Accounts Payable and month‑end close; AR experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or Epicor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
