Account Manager

About the role

Sysco, the global leader in foodservice distribution, is seeking an Account Manager to support its Corporate Multi-Unit and Healthcare & Senior Living businesses. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring timely product delivery and a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned customers and oversee last‑mile activities to guarantee accurate and on‑time deliveries.
• Monitor proprietary SKUs and promotional items, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and addressing slow‑moving or dead stock.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to communicate upcoming promotions, new listings, and inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate with Transportation to optimize delivery windows, night‑drop locations, and resolve customer concerns.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, balance work weeks, and increase order sizes while reducing same‑day deliveries.
• Use the Sysco 360 CRM system for account management, task tracking, and data accuracy.
• Escalate issues as needed and ensure compliance with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related industry or field, preferably foodservice.
• Strong communication skills for navigating challenging conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and proactive hazard reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, specifically Sysco 360.
