Academic Support Analyst (Level 1)

About the role

The Academic Support Analyst provides essential registrarial services that enable students to progress through their academic programs smoothly. Based in the Okanagan campus, the analyst ensures accurate student records, supports graduation processes, and acts as a policy expert for enrollment services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee student‑record management, ensuring compliance with FOIPOP and university regulations.
• Manage graduation applications, document distribution, and related timelines.
• Train staff and students on enrollment services procedures and systems.
• Troubleshoot system and process issues, providing subject‑matter expertise.
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve business processes and support new system implementations.
• Collaborate with faculty, IT services, and other university units on inter‑departmental projects.
• Provide backup support for the Student and Academic Support team as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of academic policies and registrarial processes.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in training and supporting staff and students.
• Analytical mindset for process improvement and system testing.
