Academic Services Information Clerk

About the role

The Academic Services Information Clerk provides specialised support for the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, serving roughly 20% of the graduate student portfolio (about 1,800 students). Working within the Student Academic Support team, the clerk acts as the primary information resource for department heads, graduate advisors, program staff and prospective students.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate admissions applications for master’s and doctoral programmes, applying university policies and eligibility criteria.
• Manage records related to student enrolment, graduation, and merit‑based awards and scholarships.
• Provide detailed advice on academic document evaluation, both domestic and international.
• Serve as the main point of contact for complex queries from graduate students, faculty and prospective applicants.
• Collaborate with the Business and Systems Manager, Graduate Awards staff, Enrolment Services and the Exchange Program Office.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Faculty policies and procedures and communicate changes to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience working in a university or academic administrative environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with graduate programmes and faculty members.
• Ability to work independently while reporting to SAS Managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
