About the role
The Academic Dean will serve as Renison University College’s Senior Academic Officer, reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, and will help shape the College’s next strategic phase.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee undergraduate and graduate programs, academic planning, curriculum development, and program innovation.
- Lead enrolment and registrarial activities, academic unit leadership, and student academic matters.
- Collaborate with the University of Waterloo and internal partners to advance academic excellence, teaching innovation, and equity initiatives.
- Manage budget, resources, and governance processes related to academic affairs.
Required profile
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree with a proven record as scholar, educator, and administrator.
- Significant experience in academic administration, including strategic enrolment management and faculty affairs.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
