About the role
The Transportation Manager at Sky Fusion is responsible for overseeing Canada’s transportation, pricing and operational delivery. The role creates and implements country strategies aligned with global and regional targets, manages market expansion, risk, sales pipelines and cross‑team collaboration to drive growth while building high‑performance teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the country business opportunity in alignment with global objectives and regional priorities.
- Drive pipeline creation and conversion by setting measurable commercial targets, establishing development plans for priority customers, and ensuring disciplined opportunity tracking and forecasting.
- Create and implement a national business development plan aligned with Sky Fusion’s global and regional road logistics strategies.
- Lead business acquisition efforts, support account management and expand existing client relationships.
- Manage the full business development process, including sales, tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offerings.
- Evaluate opportunities to adapt global road logistics products and equipment to meet local market expectations while ensuring international compatibility.
- Ensure operations are of the highest quality and profitability, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant and competitive solutions.
- Support tendering, pricing and contract negotiation as needed, and continuously optimize operational efficiency in line with regional and global guidelines.
- Maintain full compliance with transport regulations and meet all subcontractor and customer transport requirements.
- Build, develop and lead a high‑performing local team, defining organization structure, roles and responsibilities, and implementing hiring and onboarding plans.
- Translate strategy into a clear market entry and growth plan, monitoring market, competitor, regulatory and customer dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, seek new major accounts and oversee field sales activities.
- Establish and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure optimal financial results.
