Transportation Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Transportation Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of supplies and vehicle operations within our manufacturing environment. The role ensures efficient traffic coordination, shipment tracking, and compliance with trucking regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational logistics and coordinate traffic flow of supplies.
• Assign, review, and advise vehicle operators on traffic and related issues.
• Dispatch personnel during emergencies and maintain shipment records.
• Process and transmit information using dispatch management software.
• Record mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other expenses.
• Supervise 1‑2 dispatchers, radio operators, and related staff.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Physically capable of handling loads up to 100 lb (45 kg) and performing demanding tasks.
• Excellent oral communication, organization, reliability, teamwork, and initiative.

Required skills

• WHMIS certification.
• Forklift Operator certification.
• Proficiency with dispatch management service software.
• Strong computer skills: email, spreadsheets, internet, and inventory control software.
