Tailor – Luxury Fashion Alterations

About the role

Join a leading luxury retailer and provide expert tailoring services to discerning clients. You will measure, alter, and perfect garments, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of fit and craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Measure clients to determine alteration scope.
• Pin and mark garments according to fabric type and fit requirements.
• Execute alterations to the highest technical standard and deliver on promised dates.
• Communicate alteration charges and confirm completion timelines with clients.
• Collaborate with sales associates to enhance client satisfaction.
• Provide expert guidance on cut, fit, and fabric handling.
• Maintain accurate alteration tags and follow the store price list.
• Report supply needs or equipment repairs to the department manager.
• Keep the department clean, orderly, and compliant with health, safety, and privacy policies.

Required profile

• Technical training in tailoring or seamstress work, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with luxury fabrics.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and/or French.

Required skills

• Garment measurement techniques.
• Pinning and marking for precise alterations.
• Advanced alteration and sewing skills.
• Handling of luxury fabrications.
