Support Worker – Social Services

About the role

The Support Worker provides assistance to clients in a community agency setting, focusing on homeless services and programs for individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). This role involves preparing reports, assessing client needs, and collaborating with other social service agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reports or case histories and perform administrative office activities.
• Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services and assess skill strengths and development needs.
• Conduct follow‑up assessments and resolve conflict situations.
• Liaise with other social services agencies and health‑care providers involved with clients.
• Assist clients and guests with special needs.

• Team player with initiative and strong organizational abilities.

Required skills

• First Aid Certificate.
• CPR Certificate.
