About the role
The Speaker Booking Assistant will research, contact, and secure editorial speakers for From Day One’s conferences and events. You will work remotely while being based in Toronto, engaging authors, executives, activists, and academics to share their insights.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and research potential speakers aligned with event themes.
- Reach out to prospects, pitch participation, and negotiate speaking engagements.
- Track progress toward booking goals and maintain accurate records.
- Update and manage contact information in the CRM system.
- Coordinate speaker preparation, logistics, and communication.
Required profile
- Minimum 4‑year university degree.
- At least 2 years of full‑time professional experience after graduation.
- Direct experience in a booking role (e.g., academic series, TV/radio/podcast guests, conference speakers).
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is a plus.
Required skills
- Salesforce (or comparable CRM) proficiency.
