Software Implementation Consultant – Clinical

About the role

As a member of the Professional Services Solution Services team, the Software Implementation Consultant acts as the primary liaison with customers to implement best practices, optimise workflows and drive business outcomes in long‑term and post‑acute care settings. The consultant will lead detailed business discovery, configure the PointClickCare platform, and ensure successful adoption while travelling up to 30% to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the principal implementation liaison, documenting customer requirements and translating them into configuration setups.
• Lead comprehensive business discovery and develop recommendations that drive value.
• Configure the system based on technical requirements and ensure data quality, integrity and security.
• Assess and validate implementation plans, managing communication among project stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues with meticulous attention to detail.
• Update training databases to incorporate new releases, enhancements and leading practices.
• Identify and suggest configuration improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships through excellent communication and collaboration.
• Proactively anticipate, identify and communicate risks, escalations and timeline changes.
• Lead change‑management strategies, supporting user readiness and acceptance.
• Test, pilot and document new professional services offerings.
• Develop expertise across multiple product offerings and travel to customer sites as needed.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in business or technology (preferred).
• Excellent communication, organisational and collaboration skills.
• Experience configuring or implementing software solutions and performing database testing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Consulting experience with workflow analysis and delivering operational recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet milestones.
• Self‑starter attitude, results‑oriented and adaptable.
• 2‑4+ years in a software implementation role, preferably in the healthcare market.
