Senior Tax Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced tax professional to lead corporate and partnership tax compliance and reporting across Canadian and international operations. This senior role combines deep technical expertise with collaboration across Finance, external partners, and tax strategy development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and partnership income tax returns, elections and other necessary filings for Canadian and international jurisdictions.
• Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for external financial statements and partner reporting.
• Support and respond to Federal and provincial income tax audits.
• Conduct tax research to determine appropriate filing positions.
• Collaborate with the external reporting team on quarterly financial statements and public disclosures.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in special tax projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• 7‑12 years of relevant tax experience.
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) and completion of Level 3 In‑depth Tax Program.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act, IAS 12 and other IFRS standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience using Corporate Taxprep and partnership return software.
• Ability to navigate complex tax provisions and prepare accurate disclosures.
