Senior Software Engineer – Typescript Frontend (AI/ML)

About the role

The AI/ML Engineering team at ClickHouse is building end‑to‑end AI and machine‑learning products, including the Agentic Data Stack, AI Functions, chDB, and the in‑Console copilot. As a Senior Software Engineer you will design, develop, and operate AI‑powered features that make ClickHouse the platform of choice for agents and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑powered features across the full stack, from backend inference services to intuitive frontend interfaces.
• Create robust, scalable APIs that connect ClickHouse’s database capabilities with modern AI/ML inference systems.
• Integrate and maintain connections with the broader AI/ML ecosystem and standards.
• Deploy models into production with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.
• Participate in daytime on‑call rotation.
• Build responsive, intuitive UI/UX that makes complex AI functionalities accessible.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Backend development experience in TypeScript or Python, focusing on API design and service architecture.
• Strong ownership, driving features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Strong frontend skills with TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
