Senior Product Designer – Autonomy Data & Tooling

About the role

Waabi is the leader in Physical AI, building the technology that powers commercial autonomous trucks and robotaxis. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the human‑in‑the‑loop workflows that turn raw driving data into a safer autonomy stack, designing the software environments where expert judgment and automation work together.

Key responsibilities

• Design data labeling, annotation, and discovery workflows that unify tools for data curation, QA, and feedback loops.
• Create map annotation tooling, task management, and branch/merge workflows to support urban robotaxi deployments.
• Shadow labelers and analysts to gather qualitative and quantitative insights, informing user‑centered design decisions.
• Build and scale Waabi’s design system, delivering reusable components such as timeline scrubbers, multi‑select filters, and map visualization primitives.
• Establish front‑end infrastructure that enables teams to prototype UI with read‑only or snapshot data.
• Ship production‑ready React code using AI‑assisted development tools.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years designing complex, data‑rich tools (tables, filters, dashboards, maps, annotation interfaces).
• Proven experience building or significantly growing a design system, with understanding of tokens, documentation, and governance.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) as a core part of the prototyping workflow.
• First‑principles thinker who can invent interaction models for novel workflows.
• Strong front‑end intuition, understanding component architecture, state management, and performance constraints of web‑based data visualisation.
• Infrastructure mindset focused on enabling faster work across teams.
