Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

About the role

Huawei Canada is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to act as a strategic partner across the organization. The HR department drives talent attraction, development, and retention while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and advise local leadership and employees, including junior HR staff, on all HR matters.
• Operate, adapt, and continuously improve HR processes, implementing company policies, talent acquisition, development, incentive and performance management.
• Deliver HR training on policies, processes and best practices, enhancing managers' HR capabilities.
• Manage leaves (vacation, STD/LTD/Maternity), payroll assistance, onboarding, attrition, and exit interviews.
• Support performance management and annual compensation planning.
• Provide employee‑relations advice, foster a healthy organizational climate, and represent HR in management meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management or Business; Master’s degree or CHRL/CPHR designation is an asset.
• Approximately 10 years of HR experience, including HR solutions, policy development, recruitment exposure, and employment/labor law knowledge.
• Proven ability to coach managers, drive engagement, and influence performance.
• Hands‑on experience with performance management, compensation appraisal, and talent value‑chain orientation.
