About the role
We are seeking a dedicated English teacher to deliver the secondary school curriculum in an urban private school setting. The role involves preparing lessons, assessing student work, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assign and correct homework.
- Develop course content and prepare subject material according to the approved curriculum.
- Prepare, administer and correct tests.
- Provide tutoring assistance and teach through lectures, discussions, audio‑visual presentations and field studies.
- Lead students in activities that promote physical, mental and social development and school readiness.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate.
- 2–3 years of teaching experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, dependability, flexibility and teamwork.
