Registered Nurse – Temporary Part-time at Misericordia Community Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at Misericordia Community Hospital. The RN will provide compassionate, high-quality care to diverse patients and families across a range of units, supporting holistic wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans and implement prescribed treatments.
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses and document progress.
• Act as advocate, coordinator and liaison for patients, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning and, when needed, serve as charge nurse.
• Deliver care in accordance with Covenant Health’s standards, policies and the UNA collective agreement.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a focus on patient safety.
• Ability to work rotating day, night and weekend shifts on a 4-week cycle.
