Registered Nurse – Mental Health & Addiction

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a dynamic, team‑oriented start‑up facility focused on mental health and addiction care. The role involves delivering patient‑centered, high‑quality nursing services in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health, addiction and physical assessments and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and detox treatments, monitor patient progress, and document clinical observations.
• Provide counselling, education and support to patients individually and in group therapy settings using motivational and health‑promotion approaches.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, families and community resources to coordinate care.
• Identify population health trends, contribute to prevention strategies and participate in policy development.
• Act as nurse‑in‑charge when required and mentor nursing students as a preceptor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years recent experience in a mental health and/or substance‑use setting.
• Current active registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
